(for pics) www.burningsea.com/page/news/article&article_id=1114402/18/2009 | News | Rhaegar | Discuss A family of crocodiles has infested the AvCom PvP room on the Testbed server! Leaders of all four loyalties are calling for brave captains to help eradicate these pests so that everyone can return to the serious business of killing each other. This event will take place on Testbed at 3.30pm PST / 11.30pm GMT on Friday, February 20th. Meet us on the docks at Marsh Harbor—the pest control expedition will start at 4pm PST / Midnight GMT. Captains of all levels are welcome to come and assist with this noble act of pest control, but be warned—do not venture into the PvP zone alone before we say the word, or you’re likely to be ambushed by a hungry croc, with no allies to help you. Also, your fellow captains will be able to attack you as well as the crocs, so be on your guard! This is a great opportunity for you to test out the new brawling skills that are now enabled on Testbed. We will be handing out respecs before the event so you can give the new skills a try. Those who take part will earn the title “Croc Killer” on the live servers on a character of their choice! 02/18/2009 | News | Rhaegar | Discuss

Aye Jack. I created me new testbed character Cussbeard DaPyrate and met every man and his yapping dog at the pirate noob zone 'Harbour Island'. One dev posing as a croc, lay on the dock and warped any and all who weren't already, up level 50 with a parcel o'doubloons and purple rares for gear. I chose to try 9 of the 10 brawling skills in the line, with a mix of gun and control and waited till the event was called out. Everyone was flagged to kill. Pirates included. It was such a fuckfest o'lag you might expect with a hundred or more players killing dozens of both NPC and dev crocs on the fort's beach. I swear yours truly died more from the resulting lag than the crocs and enemy. Two of the dev's that gave amusing names to their crocs that I can recall were, "Tick Tick Tick", and me personal favourite; "Croc O'sh". Smart arse messages would taunt players in chat with such things as "xxx name croc invites you for dinner"; "You would taste better with lots of salt", etc. Eventually the dev's died off, some more honourably than the one or two resorting to god codes 'till the fort's beach was left to the captains to duke it out. Very loose alliances were made and broken over and over again, as several pirates ganked up on the outnumbered limeys and frogs. Don't recall too many dagos tho. The picture above o'Jack's was I be guessing towards the end where we both were picking on the two remaining frogs. Watch out for new forum titles "Croc Hunter"

Watch out for new forum titles "Croc Hunter" Aye my favorite croc message was "You would make a great pair of boots." The one croc name that had me laughing my ass off was one called Darth Gator. Most of my deaths (not that players did not kill me as well) were the direct cause of me reading what the crocs were saying and laughing my ass off instead of fighting.
